“It is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contribute
to health, wealth, and wisdom.” ~Aristotle
“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”
~Ben Franklin
“No one who can rise before dawn 360 days a year fails
to make his family rich.” ~Chinese proverb
by: Martin Grunburg
Since the dawn of civilization it’s been one of the greatest productivity (and wealth) secrets known to man: WAKE UP EARLY!
Start the day well before the average person rolls out of bed. Who hasn’t heard, “The early bird catches the worm”?
So, here’s the question for you: When was the last time you were up before dawn? When was the last time you did that seven days in a row? Or, how about 28 days in a row? Check that last quote above, the Chinese proverb. ; )
At the end of summer, I agreed to mentor a group of highly impressive and successful entrepreneurs via the Entrepreneurs Organization’s (link) “Accelerator” program. The mission of the program is to help the participants develop their companies’ annual revenue to exceed $1 million. As luck would have it, one of the participants, Matt, had recently read and became a fan of the Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. Knowing my affiliation with The Habit Factor, he thought it would be great to connect Hal and me, which he did. We had a great chat, exchanged some business ideas and generally became acquainted.
Hal’s personal tragedies – first a car accident where he was pronounced dead at the scene, and then many years later he was caught in a terrible financial crisis – add to the depth and quality of his book and undoubtedly his character. Each of these very personal accounts helps to illuminate a very human, vulnerable and likeable young man. Hal’s energy and enthusiasm are truly infectious, and his commitment to help spread his story and message is undeniable.
The book offers some down-to-earth, practical advice many of you may have heard or read before (and that’s a good thing, as repetition breads mastery). Also, he spices things up with his own formulas and perspectives and offers a very practical acronym – Life “S.A.V.E.R.S.” – which is a simplified framework for really making The Miracle Morning work.
Finally, and another reason to love the book, it ends with a chapter on (you guessed it) HABITS! ; ) I’m glad it does, too, since ultimately the success of any program, whether it’s weight loss, fitness, money management, The Miracle Morning, or any of a thousand other personal development courses out there, they all require the development of supportive habits to become effective. And, this is where Matt nailed it, as he recognized the synergy and how The Habit Factor (its methodology and toolset) help to complement The Miracle Morning and its implementation.
Note: Hal will be doing his first-ever live event in San Diego, “Your Best Year Ever Blueprint.” To get on the early registration list or learn more, click here: http://themiraclemorning.com
